No Judgement

MANY TIMES WE TEND TO MAKE JUDGEMENTS ON OURSELVES AND DO NOT EVEN REALIZE THAT WE ARE DOING IT. I HAD BEEN DOING THIS AND DIDN’T HAVE A REALIZATION UNTIL RECENTLY. I USED TO RUN LONGER MILES AND NOW I DON’T RUN AS MANY MILES. I WENT FROM RUNNING 10 MILES TO NOW ONLY DOING THREE. I KEPT THINKING “I USED TO RUN MORE THAN THIS, WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED?” IT’S BEEN A CONSTANT THOUGHT IN MY HEAD AND I WOULD GET FRUSTRATED OVER IT. ONE DAY I FINALLY CAME TO A REALIZATION THAT I WAS JUDGING MYSELF AND BEING MY WORST CRITIC.

ALL THE YEARS OF NOT STRETCHING, FOAM ROLLING, HAVING A BAD FORM, AND JUST NOT TAKING CARE OF MYSELF FINALLY CAUGHT UP TO ME. I HAD BEEN RUNNING WITH A BAD BACK AND IT’S JUST BEEN PAINFUL. EVEN WITH GETTING CHIROPRACTIC ADJUSTMENTS, IT STILL HURT. I STARTED TO SEE AN ACUPUNCTURIST AND IT’S BEEN HELPING. I NEEDED TO PUT MY PRIDE ASIDE AND ASK BRANDON TO HELP ME OUT WITH MY RUNNING. I’M ALSO GETTING BACK INTO THE YOGA AND FOCUSING ON MOBILITY EXERCISES. ALL THIS TIME I HAD BEEN TO FOCUSED ON LIVING IN THE PAST AND COMPARING MYSELF TO MY OLD ME. I JUST WANT TO RUN FREE AND BE HAPPY. WHEN I RUN, IT’S HOW I CONNECT TO SOURCE, MY MEDITATION.

DON’T BE HARSH TO YOURSELF, SAY MEAN THINGS, AND MAKE JUDGEMENT. IT’S NOT A GOOD WAY TO BE WHEN YOU EXERCISE OR JUST IN GENERAL. IF YOU FIND YOURSELF WITH THE NEGATIVE CHATTER, STOP IT IMMEDIATELY. THIS IS AN AWARENESS YOU WILL CREATE. BE POSITIVE WITH YOUR WORK OUTS, EVEN IF IT’S SOMETHING SMALL AT LEAST YOU ARE MOVING! ALWAYS BE KIND AND LOVE

YOURSELF.
